Flight in New York

Flight in New York

Flight has now completed it’s three month residency at The McKittrick in New York. So incredibly proud of this show and the ever brilliant team.

Great to see it getting such wonderful write ups (and music mentions!) in the New York Times and the New Yorker.

Where Do We Stand? – Northern Stage (April 2018)

Where Do We Stand? – Northern Stage (April 2018)

Quite simply one of the most brilliant things i’ve ever worked on. I have collaborated with Louie Ingham for over ten years and she has been fundamental to my understanding of how to think about music in theatre and story telling. Louie has devised a style of work with young companies that confronts world issues through the microcosm of day to day lives using multiple overlapping narratives and gig style theatre events.

Where Do We Stand? at Northern Stage is a pinnacle of this form of theatre. Directed by Louie collectively written by Lee Mattinson, Laurence Wilson and members from the Northern Stage Young Company it is one of the most moving, tragic, funny, challenging and vital pieces of theatre for a modern age i’ve ever seen.

Following performances at Northern Stage, Where Do We Stand? will be performed at the Festival of European Youth Theatre at Birmingham Rep. Dates TBC.

1984 – Emilia Romagna Teatro (Modena, Italy. April 2018)

I had a brilliant time working with the Emilia Romagna team over in Modena on a new version of 1984, adapted and directed by Matthew Lenton, whom I frequently work with on Vanishing Point productions.

Birth at the World Health Organisation

Birth at the World Health Organisation

Following runs at the Royal Exchange and Traverse Theatre it is really great to see some of the plays from Birth performed using my original music for policy makers at the World Health Organisation in Geneva.

A wonderful project to be part of. Learn more at www.birthdebate.com

Frankenstein

Frankenstein

Great to be working at the Royal Exchange again on a new adaptation of Frankenstein by April De Angelis. Directed by Matthew Xia and designed by Ben Stones.

Looking forward to exploring how terrifying this story can be…

Opens March 2018.

Where Do We Stand?

Where Do We Stand?

Cannot wait to work with Louie Ingham and the company on Where Do We Stand? for Northern Stage’s spring season.

Louie and I have collaborated for years and she is the director that really opened my mind and showed me how sound and music work in telling and enhancing a story.

This should be a great one.

Greatest Play…
